Transfixed inside Plato's cave
The shadows projected by the fire on the wall of Plato’s cave nowadays have mutated in their opposite. The fake projected reality acquired brightness and loudness.
Capitalism ignited a fire called consumerism that generated a Capitalist Realism made out of excesses and unnecessary desires. This bubble is fed by a constant anxiety dominated by urgencies that seem so irrationally essential to us. We find ourselves in a never ending state of busy-ness just to keep the drained system of Capitalism alive with non stop consume, never ending growth and compulsive stash.
It is a state of mind that keeps us transfixed by those bright shadows.
